My First Solo Adventure in Southern Ontario

I just got my driver's licence re-enstated after a 1 year medical suspension (long story) with a little over a month to go for my G...so I decided to hustle and get my highway driving in...haha. That's me.

I went through my bucket list to find the closest, longest waterfall adventure to London, ON I could, so that I could get lots of highway driving without driving too far. It's been over a year since I've driven long distance. I chose Tiffany Falls, 1 hour and 20 minute drive from where I live and 3 waterfalls in one shot. Tiffany Falls, Shaver Falls and Upper Shaver Falls...although I only made it to 2 before I was exhausted. I don't know about you, but winter time makes me extra sleepy...haha.

I missed my exit off highway 403, but luckily Google Maps reroutes you 🍀 I love Google Maps...99% of the time anyway.

It is a very short walk up to Tiffany Falls...3 minutes tops. It is the most beautiful as well, even in the winter. I can only imagine what this place looks like come summertime.

I started taking selfies and a runner came up to the viewing platform, so I uncomfortably waved and continued. If I get what I want out of life, I have to learn to get comfortable being uncomfortable anyway.

On my hike back to the entrance I saw a few couples go towards the falls, a date idea in case anyone needs them...haha. I'd like to think it is also my sign from the Universe 😋🥰

I then decided to take a trek up to Shaver Falls. I try and use AllTrails whenever I can to track my hikes for better navigation. That is definitely where I need improvement....navigational skills. The app tells you exactly where you are on the trail, it is awesome! I definitely recommend it!

It was for sure a longer hike up to Shaver Falls. A few downhill and uphill climbs. It was really muddy, I watched a runner fall (he was okay) and I slipped while going downhill. I was also okay. 😋

I have always been one to climb things, and I am definitely the one who always tries to get as close as (safely) possible to the waterfalls, so I definitely did an uphill climb to get closer to these falls. As soon as I put my first foot in the water, I was all in. It is surrounded by rock, definitely much warmer by Shaver Falls for sure.

I was very much like those cats you see on tv on the way down. You know, the ones you see trapped in a tree and a firefighter always has to go rescue them because they can't get down. 🤣

Have you ever wondered how on earth 🌎 you climbed up somewhere in the first place? That was me. I figured it out though.

After Shaver Falls I decided I would save the 3rd waterfall for next time. I like driving back in the daylight, and for some reason, it starts getting dark at like 4pm in Southern Ontario, in December.

Who knows, maybe I'll have my partner in crime back for the next adventure. 😋❤️🥰
