Birthday Adventures

I always wanted to go on a Waterfall Adventure on my Birthday. Although I have been close, it just never happened. Too much wishing and waiting for other people. Not this year! Someone posted a waterfall Birthday wish on my social media and I took it as my sign to adventure....followed by an affirmation from another friend to go for it.

I spontaneously decided to rent an SUV, which was upgraded for FREE to a 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan, and drove out to Rock Glen Falls.

Fun Fact: if you go there in the off seasons be prepared with cash or to e-transfer. They charge $4.25/person for entrance to the park, which honestly is a steal compared to alot of others in the area. If you have been waterfall chasing in southern ontario, you already know...haha. If there's an attendant at the entrance you can pay however you choose, but if there's not be prepared. I almost thought I had to turn around. The money goes into maintenance and upkeep, so it is for a purpose.

A 45 minute drive in Arkona, ON, a 45 minute drive from London it this beauty. The water flow is lighter during the fall so if you want to see it in full force, go in the Spring or after a heavy rainfall.

There's a short walk up to the falls, or a long hike and up and down alot of stairs depending on your energy levels, haha. I definitely did a half hike this time and then went to the falls.

The highlights of my adventure was a little boy who couldn't believe I was going up to the waterfall because he thought I was going to get a shower...haha, and a lady letting me pet her really cute rescue dog. I love dogs and I thought what a great way to end an adventure!

No matter what life throws at you always remember that you can find love and joy in every moment, because it's that energy that starts to attract the most amazing life to you. Sometimes you are surrounded by all the love you need you just have to be a little more open to seeing it ✨️ 💖
